The Hong Kong Writers’ Circle will celebrate the publication of its new collection of short detective stories, ‘Hong Kong Whodunnits’, with a launch party on Thursday 8 March at the downstairs bar in the Fringe Club, 2 Lower Albert Road, Central, Hong Kong from 7 pm to 9 pm.
‘Hong Kong Whodunnits: One City, Twelve Murders’ is an anthology of 12 blood-curdling murders from some of Hong Kong’s most exciting fiction writers. Although the stories share the common backdrop of Hong Kong, every tale uniquely presents the passion that drives the perpetrators to commit their heinous crimes. Straddling the social strata from the lowly minions who clean and cook in the city to the privileged lives of the spoilt rich and famous, this collection narrates the murderous intent that lies just below the surface of us all.
Entry is HK$60 for HKWC members and HK$100 for non-members. This includes a free copy of Hong Kong Whodunnits and a free drink. Several authors will read from their stories on the night. Lucky draws, quizzes and competitions will also be held.
JOURNALISTS WILL BE ADMITTED FREE OF CHARGE ON VIP TICKETS.
